anyways i dont know why i keep arguing this point. Just move and you’ll burn fat PERIOD
Try supersetting entire body ull be done in 30 mins and burn just as many calories if not more than 30 mins of cardio. For examples of body leanesses if thats a word…. look at body builders and sprinters– they do very little or not at all cardio and look at how lean and muscular theyare and compare that to long distance runners- they are flabby and can’t get rid of that last 5 lbs of fat they just burn through all their muscle
Cardio can be very vague word and there is no way someone walking for 45 mins is gonna burn more (calories/fat) than doing an intense leg workout so it just really depends on what kind on intensity your training at. RT will work if rest between sets relatively short and you eat right. Not necessary to do cardio because it is part of weight training—> heart rate stays elevated during entire workout if your not chatting with the girls at the front desk.
You are correct when you say that more muscle mass will increase fat utilization even at rest. When you look only at calorie expenditure from resistance training vs.cardio – the amount of calories burned during cardio is much higher. To truely maximize fat loss rather than weight loss people should do a combination of both resistance and cardio training w/ emphasis on cardio. If you try to lose fat by RT only = it wont work but you can do cardio and no resistance training and see fat loss
resistance training optimizes your fat burn by building muscle, while at rest a person with more muscle will burn more fat. Resistance training also stimulates metabolism. After workout the body goes through many processes for building itself back up after that long workout and that needs energy so don’t think that cardio is the only thing to do to burn fat. In the long run resistance training is very very good for fat burn and you look much more toned and in shape.
Stair climber… its awesome and you can just watch the calories climb. Level 8 = 840 cal/hr. Actually resistance training does not burn much fat because resistance training is highly dependent on glycogen stores or glucose (carbohydrate). Fat is burned more effectively during cardiovascular exercise because of the intensity and duration of the exercise. Vastmuscle (.com) written by the experts to be shared with all
