This week I revisited my new year’s resolutions and planned for the rest of the year. In this video I talk about making goals, looking at the big picture, quitting the negative self-talk and GETTING PAST THE SCALE.
Highest weight: 230 lbs Current weight: 168.2 lbs TOTAL Lost: — 61.8 lbs Dream goal weight: 155 lbs **REMEMBER** “A goal without a plan is just a wish.” & “If we are facing in the right direction, all we have to do is keep on walking.” **ELSEHWERE** Twitter: www.twitter.com Facebook: www.facebook.com Personal Blog: blog.shantimarshalla.com Weight-Loss FAQ’s www.antishayweightloss.com

I was also addicted to my scale, and I just was live half year without it, it was difficult in the beginning, but now I don’t feel the pressure anymore to stand on it every day. You was talking about starting to run, here in Belgium we have a program on mp3, that are 27 lessons, what help you start to run. Its really great. Maybe its can help others. Its telling you when to run and when to walk, and slowly build it up.
Great work girl…
I think the scale IS tricky. Try measuring your body, that’s more accurate. Abs, hips, arms, etc. Stuff like that shows more progression.
Hi All Great Vid Antishay. I also found a great program to help out. Everyone can check on my profile Dakotamay100. View my video
THIS WAS REALLY INSPIRING!!! Thank you Shanti!!!
I understand what you’re saying!!! The frustration with the scale can be awful! Love you all tons!!!
I like the intro! And kudos on reaching your beginning goal! If you feel bad it’s only going to effect your body negatively right? So always being excited is good imo.
hi antshay i just like your motivational thoughts but my problem is that i dont practise your thoughts i dont know why i completly agree and i want to practise in my life but still i m just sitting and not doing anything. As you said we must care about our present but how i m not doing well in studies now and now i m thinkng if i dont get through these courses then i m not able to get through my whole fegree so please suggest me something……………………..plzzzz
: D
you are so awesome!!!!
yeah! I do something similar.. I went raw to reverse malnourishment … the weight loss is just a happy accident so when i am poo pooped on my weight loss I just remind myself that it wasn’t about the weight loss, it is about feeling better… which I do feel the best i’ve felt in years and all I want to do is not backslide on that which I haven’t been doing. =^-^=
hey, i started my own video diary here in germany on youtube and thats because of you Antishay!!!!! thank you , you are such a big inspiration to me and a lot of other people.i already lost 7 kilo in 3 month based on your advices. (sorry for my bad english.)i hope you understand what i wanted to tell you with my comment.
love you, Aischa
@antishay
Awww, well thanks very much! You’ve definitely helped me. <3
@LisaGou Thank you! It’s totally awesome if you do a calendar too! I show parts of my journey in the hopes that people WILL use it if it helps them
<33
PLUS you could have totally gained muscle since you started at the gym again…muscle memory is a wonderous thing. <3 You’re doing amazing – such an inspiration! I hope you don’t mind if I steal your calendar idea. It’s something to be accountable to, away from the computer!? <3 I may feature a talk about it in a video but I would definitely give you the credit that is your own. <3 Sending you lots of love, joy, light and positivity for continued success.
I just completed week-1 of my 17-week weight loss challenge, and i am now 5lbs lighter (5lbs in 7 days). Plenty of vids up for view with tips and info on how you can do the same. Im looking to be inspired by others like me who want to lose weight. Daily vids and tips! good luck with your weight loss journeys! PS this girl is VERY inspiring!
@antishay Thank you for your thoughtful reply!
Shanti, thank you from the bottom of my heart, for motivating us so much with all your videos…!!! Since I follow your videos I´ve learned a lot about losing weight but also I´ve learned the most important thing: being happy now, love myself right now, and never give up. <3 Congrats for your new blog!!
@hopelesslyinsane make a video and post it! LOL no but really, that’s how. And then follow other people and follow the people they’re following and get to know everyone and eventually they will get to know you too if you keep vlogging, and that’s the beginning
@ckrtom2 I actually said “I have to nurture the ‘I’ in order for the ‘we’ to work” but I like your version too! What I meant is that in coupledom, we tend to overly focus on the other person when we’re in love and forget to keep going with our own goals. After a while, though, we realize that in order for the relationship to remain fresh and not stagnate, we have to grow together AND as individuals
And that’s when I started working out again
<3
i lost almost 20 pounds since i started to watch your videos last year. you are so awesome and somehow motivating me with every video. THANK YOU. You are not just helping yourself with those videos. I think you are helping each and every subscriber of yours and i cant keep on being thankful for that. thank you soooooooo much. SOOOOOO MUCH! greets from germany ♥ (sorry for mistakes x3)
Shanti, I really want to do my own weight loss journey on youtube but I simply cannot figure out how to get started? any advice?
Congrats! I started off watching your videos from the very first one, now seeing you today is INCREDIBLE. I look up to you
Thanks for the motivation! Love your charts!
Shanti. You’ve really inspired me. I fell of the wagon too after anorexia, and I gained a lot and really hated myself. You’ve changed my outlook on life and goals now, and I realise that the gains helped me realise fad diets are soo not worth it.
You’ve made me feel a lot more positive and energetic and excited about exercise and life in general, and for that I cannot thank you enough.
