I was once told this ” Dont start anything you dont think you could see yourself doing for the rest of your life” i think it is really good saying because loosing weight and being healthy isnt a weekly thing only thing that will work is a lifestyle change. we need to change our life not our diet.
oh god i knowwhy is it so easy to get obssed with numbers? i do everyday i just cant help it:(
btw!! i cant wait to show my twin this video cause i always tell her i felt like a big hulky in my gym days!! (she thinks iv lost it)lol i use to be a gym aholic and although im not going to the gym now my body shape looks slimmer!! i bulked up on my stomach and my thighs got huge!! now i do the same as you…eat less and stay healthy when i can and walk home from work (now and then haha), great video! x x
There’s an american book called Skinny Bitch and it’s all about dieting and all the disgusting things in foods… all I could eat for two months was tofu and egg whites.. everything else grossed me out. Wouldn’t suggest reading that one!
I’m a personal trainer, and I do agree that if you’re not in a calorie deficit then exercise, especially weight training, *will* burn your fat… but build your muscle at the same time! (its not possible to convert it but it does do both things). I don’t think trainers believe that women don’t ‘bulk up’, but just have a different perception of it to most people. We’re around athletes, bodybuilders etc on a daily basis, so a bit more muscle – in comparison – isn’t ‘bulky’ by definition!
Have to say, agree with the Paul McKenna love. With a mixture of his CDs (on my iPod now, he has a very soothing voice when doing the eyes-closed excercises!), and also taking loose pointers from an Eat Right For Your Blood Type (I’m AB) I’ve lost 3 stone… and more surprisngly, I’ve kept it off for a year! Makes the last 15 years seem almost bearable lol!
@roshas Thank you so much
Congratulations on all that weight loss, that is amazing!!!
@ThingsToKnow101 Well said! To all the personal trainers out there – There are women who bulk, stop telling us we’re crazy
@KerryMarie3 I do. But I always refer to ‘my diet’ in this context as it’s what I am eating I’m talking about rather than the nutrition value of what I’m consuming. Confusing. I did have a little think about that before I said it though haha
@Bltch88 haha Maybe my sit-up routine vid
@katiiee3000 Know the feeling. I used to be an Irish dancer and I was paranoid about my Hercules calf muscles
@Belle784 Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll definitely take a look at that.
@katiecould Ah thank you
x
@mermaidviva I haven’t weighed myself in years – I get obsessed
My waist is 26inches if thats any indication.
Another great book is called Intuitive Eating — it talks about a lot of the same principles and was really helpful in me developing a better relationship with food!
I can not do sit ups for the life of me, I have no idea why, but I keep trying. Your hair looks gorgeous by the way xx
how much do u weigh now? x
i bulk too it used to make me really self concious because i was a ballet dancer and all the other girls were skinny and small and i was big and muscle like. this was really helpful thanks.
food is also for pleasure, people!
so refereshing to hear someone with nearly the exact same views on food as my own! x i really want to see your abs tho now ha ha
By diet you mean nutrition!
OMG. I also really bulk up when I workout on the machines at the gym! Every trainer said I was crazy, that women don’t bulk up….well my legs would get bigger…and so would my pants size.
I love Paul McKenna – I lost nearly 2 stone cos of his rules.. And I still eat junk food!! So glad u spoke abt him !! Btw u look stunning with blonde hair !!
would you recommend doing the pump it up dvd every day in order to lose weight?
definitely agree with you on a lot of things here, overly depriving yourself always majorly backfires on me
