I often get asked what do we do with people to help them achieve their goals. My answer typically is that, well… personal training is exactly that – personal training. Everybody is different and has individual needs and goals.

Fusion Training is a unique combination of special resistance and even body weight exercises combined with multi muscle and multi movement exercises. It still incorporates traditional proven methods of weight loss and fitness training such as walking, jogging, cycling, spinning, rowing etc, but it is done in a way that combines these with other types of training that create all round brilliance in your body.

Boxingfit

Our indoor boxing classes are fitness based and include focus pad work, bag work and all over body exercises!   

Boxingfit is a great fun way to get into shape for all fitness levels. You don’t have to even know how to throw a punch to start doing an Urban Energy Boxingfit class.  This a cross training at it’s best. If you want to form a great body and fitness well there are few other programs apart from our Boot Camps that rival this for results. Look at the body of a boxer and you can see what this training can do for you!

Boot Camp is just a name. Many peple think of Boot Camps as a group of crazy people getting whipped into shape by a shaved haired military Sergeant wearing army boots.     

Well not his one! Our Boot Camp program is the longest running on the Gold Coast. While many others have started and disappeared. Our’s has always remained strong. Why? Because of our special style of creating sessions suited to all fitness levels that give you a great workout and great results.  No session is ever the same and every session guarantees you will be burning more fat than any other workout. Our Boot Camp instructor Shane Dykstra (Urban Energy Owner) has over 10 years of experience training individuals and groups. Shane is a master of creating sessions that are always different, not one is ever the same. So you will never get bored!

Frequently Asked Questions About Boot Camp        

Is this a Commando Hardcore program where the instructor yells at you?    

 Simple answer… NO!     

Will I have to do stuff that I am not capable of doing?     

Certainly not. Many people that do our Boot Camp have old injuries andall sorts of general aches and pains. Lets face it we all have em! Shane gets to know you and your body and if there’s something you can’t do, he’ll give you an alternative. We’re here to help you not hurt you.     

Is it all about crawling up sand dunes and carrying logs and sandbags and stuff?     

Once again NO!  A typical sessions entails small amounts of running (walking if you can’t run)  combined with awesome body weight exercises designed to work multiple muscle groups at once to burn MAXIMUM CALORIES and build an amazing body. We also introduce tools such as medicine balls, boxing, skipping dumbells and kettlebells. We call Fridays session ‘Friday Beach Day’. This session is designed to get you down on to the sand where the body has to work harder. We also introduce sandbags and other things to carry such as logs, tyres and buckets of sand and water in Summer.     

You are never expected to carry anything that is beyond your capabilities.     

Most of the exercises you do at Boot Camp are individual (done on your own) but we do throw in some fun and challenging team based exercises.

Q. What if I have injuries?     

If you have injuries you may still be able to participate in our classes. Our instructors will asses your ability to complete the tasks. Your safety is     

our number one priority. Often we can modify an exercise or give you an alternative to avoid the injured area.     

Q. When can I start classes?     

You can start anytime. Just turn up to any class you choose. Beware that we may not run classes on public holidays. Please call to find out.     

Q. Where are the classes?     

Boot Camp is done at one of the Gold Coasts most beautiful locations – Main Beach. We meet at the Southport Surf Lifesaving Club. Half way     

along the carpark just north of the lifesaving tower. We use the surrounding parklands and beaches as our training area.
